Meet a Member: Tip Top Wine Shop
Tip Tip Wine Shop caters to both novices and seasoned wine enthusiasts alike. Miranda and Lauren possess a wealth of knowledge regarding their selection and are well-equipped to guide you toward the ideal choice for your special events, even if that event is simply to treat yourself. If you find yourself uncertain about what to select, they offer the convenience of a gift card.
We asked: “Who you are”:
Miranda Brown and Lauren Clark opened Easthampton's first shop dedicated to quality wine on November 1, 2023. Together, we have decades of experience in the fine food and beverage scenes. Miranda is a well-known musician around the Valley, and Lauren helped launch the dearly departed New England arts and culture magazine, Take.
We asked: “What you do”:
We offer select wines from around the world, including natural, organic and sustainably-farmed wines—plus aperitif and amaro wines. Our wines, including affordable bottles under $15, come from passionate producers and are not found in the typical packie or grocery store. We also stock craft beer, cider and other fermented beverages, along with nonalcoholic drinks and specialty foods (we're especially known for our Asian potato chip selection). We are a full-service shop that offers personalized recommendations, case and half-case discounts, a wine club, events, gift boxes and gift cards.
We asked: “Why you do it”:
We saw a market opportunity: Easthampton did not have a shop dedicated to quality wine. Since we opened, the response has been incredibly positive. We love good wine, and we want Easthampton wine drinkers to know they can find a great bottle at Tip Top at every price point.
We have two wine tastings in December, both on Saturdays, with 2 of our distributors:
Dec 14 - Franck Sequin from Ideal Wine & Spirits 1:00-4:00 and Dec 21 Emerson Stevens from Café Europa 2:00-5:00. On each of those dates we'll be tasting 4-5 wines. Admission is free.
