Meet a Member: Sisu Wellness Center

In case you didn’t know, Sisu has moved to 40 Maine Ave in Easthampton. It is a beautiful bright, open and welcoming space. As I entered, I couldn’t help myself as a I gravitated to the amazing array of all natural handmade products such as essential oils, body, face and hair oils, jewelry, chakras and much more!

We asked, “Who you are”?
We are a group of healers with various modalities, including mental health, who have come together with the shared dream of helping people and bringing the community together.

Owner: Natasha Perrone, with a team of creative practitioners who are continually developing and shaping the center's direction.

We asked, “What you do”?
We are a holistic wellness center offering self-care modalities for the body, mind, and spirit. We have a team of seasoned and expert practitioners who offer services to the surrounding communities. We offer unique modalities as well as various workshops and classes. One of our goals is to bring the community together and bring back IN-PERSON experiences and learning. We invite experts in their fields to come to Sisu to teach and certify people in various modalities. We are open to the community's ideas about what they would like to have Sisu Offer. Our community Zen Den was developed to offer a unique and magical place for the community to gather, whether for learning, experiencing, creating, or just to have fun!

We asked, “Why you do it”?
We believe in what we do as practitioners and often practice what has helped us or what we have always been drawn to. We are all looking for a sense of community and, quite frankly, love to help people.

I learned from our conversation that one of the Sisu's Team's goals is to bring the community together in a safe environment that was designed with love and compassion in order to foster community healing. We went into great detail about putting your own and the community's wellness first. “If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness”. Introduce yourself to new experiences and learn about the resources Sisu offers for daily living.

New suggestions from the community for the community are welcome at Sisu. We exchanged ideas like:

  • Invite your coworkers to Sisu for some holiday shopping, and work with Natasha to design a session that your group would like.
  • Work with Sisu to arrange for a block of time for your team/friends/coworkers etc. for some mini sessions your group would like. Community connections and community healing.
  • Poetry Slams
Natasha and her team were excited by all the possibilities and no idea was a bad idea! Please reach out to the Sisu Team to discuss your suggestions, ideas, wants and needs for community connection.
