Leo DeGrandpre started DeGrandpre Jewelers, which has been a family business since 1946. Third-generation owner Mark DeGrandpre joined the family business in 2007 after completing jewelry design and repair program at North Bennett Street School in early 1990.
People never forget where they purchased their wedding bands, according to Mark, who said he enjoys assisting customers. In addition to wedding bands, DeGrandpre’s has a wide range of jewelry with diamonds and gemstones, watches, clocks, hand blown glass figurines, Yankee Candles, greeting cards, making a one stop shop for your gift needs. In addition, he offers repairs and cleanings as well.

A few months later he worked with Mark to design an engagement ring. Mark was professional, knowledgeable, gave great advise and had a quick turnaround.
We were on our last day of vacation when my fiancé proposed, and the ring was too big. We drove straight from vacation to the store and got there about 5:30. Mark promised to have the right done the next day. My fiancé and I were so happy and excited but a little sad I wouldn’t wear the ring that night to celebrate.
We went out to dinner and less than 90 minutes later, Mark called to say he finished resizing the ring and we could pick it up right then! It was such a kind and sweet gesture. He went above and beyond to make this special day even better. Thank you, Mark! It meant so much to us!”
