Operations Coordinator
Position: Operations Coordinator for The Chamber of Greater Easthampton
Reports to: Executive Director
Part Time: Up to 30hrs
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm with occasional evenings / weekends
Work Location: In person, 33 Union Street Easthampton
Qualifications/ Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Social Media, Communication, Sales/Business Development
- High level of self-motivated initiative
- Clear, effective, and responsive oral and written communication skills
- Experience in creating and executing large and small events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with QuickBooks Online experience a plus
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of businesspeople, the city, and volunteers.
Job Overview: The Operations Coordinator assists in the management of the day-to-day operations, programs and initiatives of the Chamber and oversees the WorkHub on Union initiative. The position serves as the initial point of contact with members, committees, the general public and users of the WorkHub on Union. In addition, the Operations Coordinator coordinates and fulfills all Chamber and WorkHub on Union public relations activities, including marketing, social media, and newsletter development. The Operations Coordinator will also assist in facilitating all event logistics, promotional activities, member cultivation/retention tactics, and maintenance of The Chamber office, and work closely with the Executive Director to ensure the budget is managed effectively and policies and procedures are upheld. The Operations Coordinator is a team player who is organized, efficient, creative, innovative, and comfortable engaging with new people.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Overseeing administrative functions ensuring smooth operations of the physical space and equipment.
- Build and cultivate relationships with existing and potential members.
- Manage the invoicing and AR protocol related to dues and non-dues operations.
- Assisting with planning and executing Chamber events, including but not limited to networking events, professional development seminars, ribbon cuttings and the development of new programs and events.
- Develop and manage marketing and communications for events, programming, and initiatives, including but not limited to, the creation of press releases, newsletter content, articles for publication, advertisements, and email communications.
- Maintain and develop content for Chamber website and social media channels.
- Assist with meeting preparations including those with the Board, membership, committees, and community partners.
- Oversee the operations of the WorkHub on Union co-working space and provide light administrative support as required in the entrepreneurial contract.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Computer skills (basic programs and website)
- Requires valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- The ability to lift to 25 lbs.
