Here is a bit about their stories.\n\n \n\n Kasey Corsello\n\n_ Prior to opening Corsello's Butcheria\, we lived a very comfortable life\, allowing me to stay home and raise our two children.\n\n_ The list of risks were long\; uncertainty\, comfort\, unknowns\, financial.\n\n _ But\, once we opened the shop\, no matter the risk\, the unknown was now known. The anxiety began to go away and I began to be comfortable with risk and its outcome.\n\n \n\n Lori Divine-Hudson\n\n_ I spent the first part of my life doing everything I was \n\n supposed to.\n\n _ I didn't listen to my heart- rather to my elders for many things. \n\n _ My dream to be a doctor was just that\, and at the age of 60\, when most are starting to retire my partner and I bought 2 old mill buildings in Holyoke and created Gateway City Arts.\n\n _ There was no model for this endeavor\, my business experience was limited\, and the stigma of Holyoke at the time was all a risk.\n\n \n\n Kelly Holbrook\n\n_ I was ready to walk away from my successful career as hair stylist & salon owner.\n\n_ But instead of giving up on a career that I was really good at I took a risk and signed up for a accelerated MBA program that changed my life.\n\n_ I looked beyond life as a business owner and embraced my inner entrepreneur and took it all to the next level.\n\n \n\n Jossie Valentin\n\n_ I identified with the fact that the Latino and Puerto Rican population in the city of Holyoke was almost 50%\, with no representation in city government.\n\n_ 2013 marked the year that I took a risk and began a grass roots campaign to run for city council and won by 74%.\n\n _ I am now in my third term proudly representing the city of Holyoke as a woman\, a Puerto Rican\, and a lesbian\; welcoming the challenge and risk that I would hands down do all over.\n\n \n\n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nThis. Is. EPIC!
